Welcome to the website of the Feed Additives Notification Platform, the purpose of which is to provide guidance on the process of notification of additives according to regulation EC 1831/2003, links to the relevant forms for notification, and a forum through which consortia can be drawn together. It is proposed that notification of generic additives in particular is performed in a co-ordinated fashion so as to ensure that such additives are indeed notified, that the notification is of a minimum standard, and that the workload on EFSA is minimised as much as possible. Through monitoring the process of notification, FEFANA and its partners FEFAC, FEDIAF, EMFEMA and IMA-Europe will also be alerted by the lack of notification of any additive which will allow for intervention where appropriate to prevent the occurrence of orphan additives”. This site is provided for the use of all interested parties and is not restricted to members of the five European Federations only.
